The organisation responsible for administration and disbursement of social grants in South Africa, Sassa has monthly schedules for payment of the grants. The schedule is consistent and it was published to cover the remaining months of 2022 and early months of 2022.
When Are Grants Paid Monthly?
You can expect to get your social grant from the second day of the month if you are an elderly person. This day must fall within weekdays; otherwise of the second day of the month falls within the weekend or a public holiday, the next working day will be your pay day. This is to say, Sassa does not issue social grants payments on weekend and public holidays.
What are Sassa Payment Dates for October 2022?
The Sassa Payment dates for October 2022 are as follows:
The Older Persons Grant will be paid on 3 October 2022
The Disability Grant will be paid on 4 October 2022
The Child Support Grant will be paid on 5 October 2022
All other grants including War Veteran Grant, Foster Care Grant and other will be paid on 6 October 2022.
