It is that time of the year where Sassa recipients for social grants will get their second increases. That is the Sassa grant increase October 2023. Earlier, the Minister of Finance outlined the increases for Sassa grants during his budget speech. The increment were scheduled to be implemented twice during the 2023 financial year.
The first Sassa grant increase was implemented at the beginning of the year in April and now it is time for second increment implementation.
Sassa Grant Increase 2023 Dates
The social grant second increase for 2023 will be implemented from 01 October 2023. The amounts will reflect on the social grant payments for the month of October onwards.
Sassa Grant Increase October 2023
Here is the breakdown for Sassa grant increase for October 2023:
- Sassa grant increase amount for pensioners : The Old age grant for pensioners over the age of 75 will be increased from R2090 to R2100.
- The SASSA Disability Grant will increase to R2090
- SASSA Child Support Grant increase to R510
- Foster Child Grant from SASSA will increase to R1130
- Child Care Dependency Grant to increase to R2090.
- The SASSA War Veterans Grant will increase to R2110
- The Grant-In-Aid from SASSA will increase to R510
All these grants will be increased by R10 as of October 2023.
